A few minutes later, after the sun disappeared, these cliffs were their normal color. They were only golden for a short time and I'm glad we were able to view them in their glory.

Cacti~LOTS of cacti! Monday Cactus 112309
These colorful cacti were blooming at the Living Desert Reserve in Palm Desert when I visited one May afternoon. Aren't they cute? Monday Cactus for November 23, 2009. Cute, but prickly! OUCH!
My wedding this past July was pink and green themed. My mom managed to find those exact same pink and green cacti. They confused the heck out of me until I realized they were grafts.
